Shipping and Handling

Shipping costs are determined by the weight of the package, and where it is shipping to. I charge actual prices from the carrier, I do not attempt to make money on handling fees.

Prints: I will ship prints in a protective plastic sleeve with holes in it for adding to a binder. The sleeve containing the print will be placed in a cardboard reinforced photo mailer, properly marked "Do Not Bend". I ship prints via USPS, first class mail, unless you make other arrangements with me in advance. I charge a flat fee of $2.50 for the first print, and an additional 50¢ for each additional print in it's own sleeve but in the same package. I usually ship the same day or the next business day after I receive payment in full.

Originals: Please email me for a shipping quotation. Original paintings vary in size and weight, and there are several different methods for shipping them safely. For stretched canvases, I wrap the painting in protective plastic and/or bubble wrap, then place it in a sturdy cardboard box for shipment. Or I can remove the canvas from the wooden stretcher and roll it up and place it in plastic and then in a cardboard shipping tube. This method will weigh less, and most likely be less expensive than the box with the wooden stretcher, however you will have to get it framed before you can hang it for display. You can immediately hang the stretched canvases without a frame if you wish. I usually ship via UPS ground or Parcel Post, whichever is least expensive and arrives in a timely fashion. I will also ship via 2nd day, Next Day, Priority mail or Federal Express if you request it. All COD orders are shipped UPS and will include the UPS COD fee. All packages will be insured, so if they arrive damaged, or simply never arrive at all, you will receive a full refund or replacement where possible. You will have to notify me by email. I usually ship the same day or the next business day after I receive payment in full.

Model Horses: I will very carefully pack and ship my models to you. I put a layer of wax paper around the model first (not toilet paper as that may leave lint permanently embedded in the sealer coat of the model if it's exposed to any heat, thus ruining all my work) I carefully pad between the ears and legs and around the tail with tp over the wax paper. Then there will be several layers of bubble wrap and the rest of the space in the box will be taken up with either peanuts or foam wrapping, so the model will not move in the box during handling by the carrier. I also write the word "fragile" in red ink on all sides of the outside of the box. I usually ship the same day or the next business day after I receive payment in full.

Custom Tack: I pack tack in a plastic baggie, filled with air to prevent crushing during shipment. I usually ship via USPS Priority mail, as it arrives faster, there is insurance available for purchase, and tracking available. I have found that the faster it arrives, the less likely it is to be left somewhere where it might be crushed by having a heavier package placed on top of it. I will be happy to give you the best possible prices for shipping, and the best service. I usually ship the same day or the next business day after I receive payment in full.

If you have any special shipping and handling requests, please ask me. I will attempt to accomadate your wishes whenever possible.
